Pregnancy Testing

Think you might be pregnant?

Valley Women’s Clinic can provide you with a free lab-certified pregnancy test. You will have the results during your appointment. Our pregnancy tests are urine specimen tests that can detect pregnancy as soon as 10 days after conception.

Common pregnancy symptoms include:

  • Late period
  • Tender or swollen breasts
  • Frequent urination
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Fatigue
  • Lightheadedness or fainting
  • Backaches
  • Food cravings or aversions

Options Consultation

This confidential consultation with one of our client advocates will allow you to ask any questions you may have. Our medical staff will then provide you with medically accurate information about all of your pregnancy options, so that you can make the best choice for you and your future.

Obstetrical Ultrasound

After a positive pregnancy test at one of our clinics, depending on assessment of one of our nurses, you may be eligible for an ultrasound, which can determine how far along you are in your pregnancy. An ultrasound can also confirm that there is a viable uterine pregnancy, as opposed to an ectopic pregnancy or potential miscarriage. Because everyone should have access to this information, our services, even the ultrasound exam, are provided free of charge.

An ultrasound provides information that is necessary to help determine what type of abortion procedure you would require if you choose to terminate your pregnancy. This information is essential to you regardless of your pregnancy decision. Valley Women’s Clinic provides information for your health. We do not perform abortions or arrange adoptions; therefore, we have no financial interest in your decision.

Limited STD/STI Testing

Valley Women’s Clinic offers free and confidential STI testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.

Chlamydia is the most frequently reported bacterial sexually transmitted disease in the United States. Any sexually active person can be infected with Chlamydia. The greater the number of sex partners, the greater the risk of infection. Because the cervix of teenage girls and young women is not fully matured, they are at particularly high risk for infection.

In women, symptoms of Gonorrhea are often mild, but most women who are infected have no symptoms. Even when a woman has symptoms, they can be mistaken for a bladder or vaginal infection. Untreated Gonorrhea can cause serious and permanent health problems.

Abortion Information

Abortion procedures vary in complexity and cost based on the length of time since a woman’s last menstrual period (LMP). Our medical staff can explain the different types of abortion procedures, give you an opportunity to ask questions, and provide accurate medical information so you can make an informed decision about your pregnancy. Find out more about abortion and your choices.

Before deciding about abortion, you need to find out if you’re really pregnant and how far along you are. Request an appointment at one of our clinics for a free pregnancy confirmation.

Valley Women’s Clinic does not perform or refer for abortions. This protects our clients because clinics that do abortions make money from that procedure. In order to give you unbiased information, we don’t do abortions or have any referral relationships with clinics that do.
